The VII IEEE World Engineering Education Conference (EDUNINE2023) will be held as a hybrid conference (virtual and face-to-face) in Bogotá, Colombia, March 12-15, 2023.
Through combined virtual and in-person workshops, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and parallel presentations by authors, the four-day conference aims to explore and focus on the key challenges of the conference theme and changing times. Engineering, computer science, and technology education has become a multi-faceted and complex phenomenon.
Special activities will be offered to encourage social interaction and informal discussions on selected topics of interest to the audience through hybrid coffee breaks and hybrid brunch meetings with invited guests. See the EDUNINE2022 front page with the virtual brunch meeting guests presenting the topic and answering predefined questions to encourage the exchange of views and experiences among the audience. Reflecting on needs, challenges, paradigm shifts, innovations, and localized and contextualized experiences shaped by specific academic cultures and educational systems therefore allows us to better understand the pressing needs of this new era. It is an ideal forum to share ideas, learn about developments, and meet with colleagues.
All sessions will be accessible online and onsite at Universidad Central and Universidad del Rosario. On-site presentations will be subject to the health recommendations of the City of Bogotá, as the health of participants and organizers is our priority. All participants will have access to the online platform.
The IEEE World Engineering Education Conference - EDUNINE will be held every year in a different Latin American city. It is an annual conference of the IEEE Education Society organized jointly with COPEC (Science and Research Organization) for Region 9 (Latin America). This conference is part of the prestigious list of regional conferences of this society, which also include the following: FIE (FRONTIERS IN EDUCATION, mainly in the United States and Canada, Regions 1-7), EDUCON (GLOBAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION CONFERENCE, in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, Region 8), EDUNINE (WORLD ENGINEERING EDUCATION CONFERENCE, Latin America and the Caribbean, Region 9), and TALE (TEACHING ASSESSMENT AND LEARNING IN ENGINEERING, Asia and Oceania, Region 10).
The language for publication of papers in the IEEE Xplore® digital library of IEEE is English to allow for wider international dissemination. The languages for oral presentations of papers in conference sessions will be English and the languages most widely spoken in the Latin American region, namely Portuguese and Spanish. Papers will be reviewed on the basis of originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to the conference, contributions, readability, and English language.
