The IEEE World Engineering Education Conference - EDUNINE will be held every year in a different Latin American city, for this edition, in multiple interconnected cities. It is an annual conference of the IEEE Education Society organized jointly with COPEC for Region 9 (Latin America). This conference is part of the renowned list of regional conferences of this Society that are: FIE (FRONTIERS IN EDUCATION, mainly in United States and Canada, Regions 1-7), EDUCON (GLOBAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION CONFERENCE, in Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Region 8), EDUNINE (WORLD ENGINEERING EDUCATION CONFERENCE, Latin America and the Caribbean, Region 9) and TALE (TEACHING ASSESSMENT AND LEARNING IN ENGINEERING, Asia and Oceania, Region 10).
The language of the papers for publication in the IEEE Xplore® digital library of IEEE is English for further international dissemination. The languages for the oral presentations of the papers in the sessions of the conference are English and also Portuguese and Spanish, corresponding to the most spoken languages in the Latin American region. The papers will be evaluated by peers based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, readability, and English Language.
The VI IEEE World Engineering Education Conference (EDUNINE2022) would be held as a Smart Distributed Conference in IBERO-AMERICA from March 13 to 16, 2022
The EDUNINE2022 conference would be hybrid, with online and face-to-face presentations in the cities/countries of Latin America that hosted previous editions of EDUNINE and in Spain and Portugal. The venues would be Santos (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Lima (Peru), Bogotá (Columbia), Guatemala (Guatemala), Madrid (Spain), and Guimarães (Portugal). It should be a smart conference distributed among several interconnected venues to improve accessibility for all participants reducing travel distances and addressing the limitations that might still be in place due to COVID-19.
Due to Omicron COVID -19 we could not meet in person and had to meet only virtually for the third time. EDUNINE2022 was a conference with sessions and with valuable engagement-driven experiences for virtual networking.
For each day during the major conference break, we organized a virtual brunch with special guests and virtual pizzas to align our external socio-technical environment to create interpersonal experiences that are more inclusive, accessible, equal, and digital.
Let us share some of these memorable moments of virtual social interaction and watch the video recordings of these virtual brunch meetings in EDUNINE's virtual cafeteria. These are the first parts of the videos that shows the warm-up phase of the meetings with the presentation of the topic by the guest(s) and the answers to the predefined questions. This creates an environment that encourages participants to ask questions and share their own experiences. Guests agree to share the videos
Due to the high number of requests received, the committee has decided to extend the paper submission deadline by 2 weeks (November 1st, 2021).

When we click to send a paper, we have an interior doubt, fear, and uncertainly. We worked for two or three years, unnumbered versions and many hours in front of our computer.
Our dilemma is: how the journal community will evaluate it?
For this reason, we prepared a virtual brunch meeting with André Jun, Publishing Relationship Manager at Emerald Publishing. We will talk about the publishing process and the internal process in the journal community. This virtual lunch will have four parts:
Andre will present a revision process roadmap explaining the roles: author, editor, reviewer. Always Andre says patience, patience, patience; and take a big breath when you receive a message.
In this virtual brunch, make an exceptional American Pizza and ….black coffee and join us.
Invited guest: Ana Luna, Lorena Garcia, Daphne Kahn, Eliana Castro, and Yereth Romero

We recommend making a Hawaiian Pizza and…. Yerba Mate in this virtual brunch, courtesy of our EDUNINE Technical Chair.

On March 16, we will have a virtual lunch with Ivette Johnson, Salesforce Account Director, Retail & Consumer Goods..
Ivette will talk about the Salesforce Economy and new opportunities for developers with SAAS. We need a platform to grow in this digital transformation era, unifying marketing, sales, service, commerce, and IT to generate value for our customers and stakeholders.
We discuss the competencies for a real digital era, the professor's role, and her business environment vision.
Also, during this conversation, we will ask her about the journey from Chemical Engineering at MIT, with high-impact researchers and papers, to the dark side of the business.
May the force be with you in this virtual brunch, and make a Meat Lovers Pizza and …aromatic grey tea.
